Terms of Use

Ruva is a private ritual and reflection app for couples — designed sessions, daily reveals, a memory archive, emotional check-ins, and shared moments between two people. Ruva is not, and does not claim to be, therapy, medical care, mental-health treatment, or relationship counseling. It is a tool for connection and reflection, nothing more.

• You sign in with Apple. You can hide your real email address.
• You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
• You’re responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure and for what happens through your account.
• You provide accurate information during onboarding, such as a display name your partner will recognise.

Ruva connects exactly two people. You invite a partner with a link, QR code, or invite code; they join by entering the code. Once paired, the shared space is private to you two.

You may unpair at any time from Settings. Unpairing permanently deletes all shared content from both accounts. Export your data first if you want to keep it.

You agree not to:

• Use Ruva to harass, threaten, or harm your partner or anyone else.
• Share another person’s private content outside the app.
• Post or send content that is unlawful, abusive, or that you don’t have the right to share.
• Attempt to access other users’ data, reverse-engineer the service, or overload it.
• Use Ruva for any commercial purpose other than the personal use it’s built for.

We may suspend or terminate access if these rules are broken, including to protect a partner’s safety.

Ruva offers in-app purchases processed by Apple through your Apple ID. Plans available in your region may include:

• Monthly — €12.99 per month, auto-renewing.
• Annual — €59.99 per year (about €5/month), auto-renewing.
• Lifetime — €119.99, a one-time purchase with no renewals.

A weekly plan exists only for selected experiments and is not the default offer. Prices may vary by region. Premium is couple-wide: when one partner subscribes, both unlock everything.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless turned off in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the same price and length unless changed.
• You can manage or cancel subscriptions anytime in your Apple ID settings.
• The Lifetime plan does not renew and is not refunded except as required by law.
• Unused portions of a free entitlement, if any, are not refunded.

You can restore purchases from Settings if you reinstall Ruva or switch devices.

Ruva remains usable without a subscription: a limited number of daily reveals per week, three free ritual modes, emotional weather check-ins, quiet presence, recent memories, and pairing are always available. Premium adds unlimited reveals, the full ritual library, co-op stories, date ideas, the permanent memory archive, and memory resurfacing.

You keep ownership of the content you and your partner create. You grant Ruva the limited licence needed to store, sync, and display it between the two of you and to back it up so you don’t lose it. We don’t use your content for anything else.

You can delete your account from Settings. This unpairs you and permanently removes all shared content from both accounts. You can also export your full archive as a portable bundle before deleting. These features are available in the app, not buried in a website.

Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

Ruva is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work hard to make it reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, and we don’t guarantee any emotional or relationship outcome. Where the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the relevant period (or, for Lifetime, the purchase price).

You can stop using Ruva and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, if we stop offering a feature, or if required by law.

We update Ruva over time — new rituals, improvements, and fixes. We may update these terms to match. We will show the “last updated” date above and notify you in the app for material changes. Continued use after a material change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws applicable where the Ruva team operates the service (European Union). Disputes will be resolved in those courts unless you have rights to a different forum under mandatory local consumer law.
