Privacy Policy

• Ruva is strictly partner-to-partner. There are no public profiles, feeds, comments, or discovery.
• We collect only what the ritual needs: your display name, your relationship content, your invite codes, a push token, and your purchase status from Apple.
• You can sign in with Apple and choose to hide your real email.
• You can export everything, and you can delete your account and all shared content from inside the app at any time.
• We never sell your data.

Ruva is published by the Ruva team. The app and its backend services are operated from the European Union. If you have privacy questions, contact linusnicolau@protonmail.com.

Account data. When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and email. You can hide your real email address; Apple provides a private relay address instead. We store a display name you set during onboarding.

Relationship content. The things you and your partner create together: daily reveal answers, voice notes, photos, memory artifacts, emotional weather check-ins, quiet presence tokens, co-op stories, and date ideas. This is the substance of the app — and it is shared only with your paired partner.

Pairing data. Invite codes used to connect two people into a couple.

Push token. A device token from Apple Push Notification service (APNs) so we can deliver the notifications you choose to receive. It identifies a device, not you personally.

Purchase data. We receive a receipt/entitlement status from StoreKit 2 to enable the features you’ve unlocked. We do not process or store your payment card details — Apple handles all billing.

Usage and diagnostics. Limited, aggregated analytics about how features are used so we can improve them. We do not sell or share this with third parties for advertising.

• To run the rituals, reveals, memory archive, emotional weather, presence, stories, and date ideas you and your partner use.
• To pair two people together when an invite code is used.
• To send the notifications you’ve turned on, during the hours you’ve chosen.
• To recognise your Premium entitlement (monthly, annual, or lifetime) and share it with your partner, since Premium is couple-wide.
• To provide account deletion and data export when you ask.
• To keep the service stable, secure, and improving.

Your partner. The relationship content you create is visible to your paired partner. That is the whole point of Ruva, and the only person it is shared with.

Our backend provider. Ruva uses Supabase to store and sync your data in transit and at rest. Supabase processes this data on our behalf as a processor and does not use it for its own purposes.

Apple. Sign in with Apple, StoreKit purchases, and push notifications are handled by Apple under its own privacy practices.

Superwall. Used to present paywalls and offers. It receives the entitlement status needed to do that, not your relationship content.

No one else. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or make it discoverable by other users.

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Sensitive content is encrypted at rest server-side. Access is restricted to the services that need it. No one at Ruva reads your private relationship content.

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, or when you and your partner unpair, shared relationship content is permanently removed from both accounts. You can export a copy first if you want to keep it.

• Access & portability. Export your entire archive — answers, voice notes, photos, and memories — as a portable bundle from Settings.
• Deletion. Delete your account from Settings. This unpairs you and permanently removes all shared content from both accounts.
• Unpair. End the couple connection; all shared content is deleted for both people.
• Notifications. Choose which categories can reach you and set your own quiet hours, or disable notifications entirely.
• Comfort zones. Choose the tones you want and opt out permanently from mature-toned packs.
• Withdraw consent. You can turn off analytics and revoke Sign in with Apple from your Apple ID settings.

EU and UK users have additional rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact linusnicolau@protonmail.com to exercise them.

Ruva is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used Ruva, contact us and we will delete the data.

Ruva links to Apple services (Sign in with Apple, App Store, StoreKit) and uses Supabase and Superwall as described above. Their handling of any data is governed by their own privacy policies.

We may update this policy as Ruva evolves. We will show the “last updated” date above and notify you in the app for any material changes.
